Release 2020-05-26

OS4X 3 Release 2020-05-26 can be downloaded online from the website www.os4x.com/downloads, the OS4Xvirtual images and the Docker containers are updated. Current changes are:

  • Administrative web interface:
    • When cancelling an OS4X Enterprise job, a confirmation prompt appears.
    • Added logout functionality if the web interface is secured via a HTTP protection.
    • Deleting of system log is now possible for vault entries, too.
    • Certificate signing request for PSA: Added company field.
    • The web interface automatically checks for a newer version and asks the administrator to reload the interface (which can be postponed).
    • Plugin group selection is now possible in all hierarchy levels.
    • Searching for OS4X Enterprise jobs now reacts on numeric input for all search fields, not only the job number.
  • OS4X Enterprise:
    • New „Approve“ plugin: a defined person must accept or deny the transfer of an OS4X Enterprise job (informed via email, accepting or rejecting via a simple click).
    • The plugin  „Virt. filename to recipient“ now has a new type: „Regular Expression compiles“. This makes the plugin much more powerful!
    • OS4X Enterprise jobs can now cancel itself by just calling the binary „os4xcancel“.
    • Filemove plugin: If the target file already exists, the size will be checked. In case of an error the free space in the target directory will be logged, too.
    • Text templates extended with HTML and textual file listings.
    • The plugin „virtual filename to recipient mapping“ can now define recipients by the originator SFID and existing filter rules.
    • Server-side selected files in OS4X Webaccess can now be added to OS4X Enterprise send jobs without any problems.
  • OS4X Core:
    • The management of trusted certificates is moved from filesystem to database. This improves backup strategies much easier. Administrative tasks are enhanced, too.
    • When updating OS4X, the original database schema version is checked, and if the installed one is newer than the target version, the update process stops with an error message.
    • Support for multiple trusted certificates with the same subject added to the TSL mechanism.
    • Enhanced output of the enqueueing process, if the virtual filename is too long.
    • When a TLS connection succeeds, but fails in the OFTP handshake, the initiating IP address will be logged in the system logs.
    • Deletion of obsolete Diffie-Hellman parameter with 128, 256 and 512 bits.
  • OS4X OFTP2 SmartProxy:
    • Optimization in multithreading, so that a restart of the proxy client doesn’t stop the server.
    • Opimized PID file cleanup mechanism.
  • OS4X Portal:

As the latest version of OS4X available, we recommend to update to this version as fast as possible.
