Release 2024-11-14

OS4X 3 Release 2024-11-14 can be downloaded online from the website www.os4x.com/downloads, the OS4Xvirtual images and the Docker containers are updated.

Current changes are:

  • OS4X Core:
    • Removed: After more than 20 years of existence, the ISDN code, which has been obsolete since 2020, has been removed. At the same time, support for the DB2 database system was removed. Customers who still need this support can contact us and conclude a legacy support contract.
    • ↑ Optimized: If the RAM runs out, OS4X will now try to send a message to the Syslog service.
    • ↑ Optimized: Network interruptions are now generally better recognized and handled more quickly.
    • ↑ Optimized: All database connections to the server are now calculated in the UTC time zone to better support time zone offsets (which may be different in the browser, e.g. when remotely administering a non-local location).
    • ↑ Optimized: Detection optimized for ongoing processes in massively parallel shipping.
  • Administrative web interface:
    • ⊕ New: Licenses can now also be entered textually (e.g. copied from a text editor). The validity of this is checked beforehand in order to rule out errors in advance.
    • ↑ Optimized: Poll to partner for non-OFTP partners prevented.
    • ↑ Optimized: Directory scanner view now correctly counts the number of entries after entering a search parameter.
  • OS4X AS2:
    • ⊕ New: A new configuration parameter for setting the TLS cipher for HTTPS is now available.
    • ↑ Optimized: MDN queue now also lists entries that are not assigned to a partner (e.g. for negative MDNs without a matching ID, after receiving a file requesting an asynchronous MDN).
  • OS4X Docker:
    • Removed: phpMyAdmin is no longer included in the delivery scope as it is already integrated into the admin panel anyway.

As the latest version of OS4X available, we recommend to update to this version as fast as possible.
